Every Buddha in our Collection takes up to 60 days to create. Solid stone and resin are hand molded to produce a lightweight, but strong figurine. Then, each is hand carved to produce the fine detailing right down to the tiniest nose and daintiest fingernail

The Buddha in Bhumisparsha Mudra
The Bhumisparsha Buddha is always depicted in a seated position, with right hand resting on its knee and fingers pointing towards the earth. The left hand rests on its lap with the palm facing upwards. ‘Bhumisparsha’ means ‘touching the earth’ or ‘calling the earth to witness’. This mudra represents the moment when Buddha became enlightened underneath the Bodhi tree. But what came before, and after?
