Minerva, Athena’s Roman incarnation, embodies similar attributes. Athena is also a shrewd companion of heroes and is the goddess of heroic endeavor. She is the virgin patron of Athens. The Athenians built the Parthenon on the Acropolis of her namesake city, Athens (Athena Parthenos), in her honor. This statue is beautifully designed, sculpted and handcrafted to the finest detail in cold cast metal (Bronze/pewter) finish. This statue is made of a type of resin known as Cold Cast Bronze. “Cold-Casting” is a term used to describe the process of mixing metal powder with a resin to create castings that give the appearance of solid metal, without the high cost of using actual metal.
